Pray for God’s will to be done in the federal judiciary, from the rules in the Senate to the actual confirmations. Click HERE to download IFA’s Judicial Appointments Special Report Prayer Guide.

The Lord is good to those whose hope is in him, to the one who seeks him (Lam. 3:25)

“Senate Republicans are threatening to change a custom that allows Democratic senators to block some judicial choices from their states, in an effort to speed along a conservative transformation of the federal judiciary.

Leaders are considering a change to the Senate’s “blue slip” practice, which holds that judicial nominations will not proceed unless the nominee’s home-state senators signal their consent to the Senate Judiciary Committee. Republicans say they will make the change if Democrats throw up blanket opposition to President Trump’s nominees.

Adherence to the custom has waxed and waned, depending on the views of Senate leaders. But the rule was strictly observed during the Obama administration, and GOP opposition to President Barack Obama’s nominees partly explains why Trump entered office with more than 120 judicial vacancies to fill.

Removing the blue-slip obstacle would make it much easier for Trump’s choices to be confirmed. Although Trump and Senate Republicans have clashed early in his presidency, they agree on the importance of putting conservatives on the federal bench.” (Excerpted from The Washington Post, reporting by Robert Barnes and Ed O’Keefe.)

  1. Joyce Lenz says:

“Consider what you do, for you judge not for man but for the Lord. He is with you in giving judgment. 7 Now then, let the fear of the Lord be upon you. Be careful what you do, for there is no injustice with the Lord our God, or partiality or taking bribes.” II Chronicles 19:5-7
“O Lord, God of our fathers, are you not God in heaven? You rule over all the kingdoms of the nations. In your hand are power and might, so that none is able to withstand you.”

Lord, we use the example of Jehoshaphat as he appointed righteous judges and then as Judah was facing the threat of enemy invasion. Lord, you can do all things-even in the midst of seemingly
overwhelming challenges. Lord, you are still the same powerful unchanging God. Please do it again as you did in Jehoshaphat’s day.

  2. Marlene Babb says:

I declare that whatever 0ur president needs to take place, that it changes …happens….nothing hinders, no principality or power of darkness shall suceed. They that be with us is more than they that be with them. Light always overcomes all the darkness. Jesus is that light that overcomes the world. Donald Trump is the man God has placed into position for such a Time as this. GOD has chosen him. When you fight against him you fight Against God. Our God never looses a battle. He always win. I declare our President wins on all levels. He exceeds, excels, prospers, moves forward to take back All our land from the hand of our enemies. I declare our President has the upper hand against all the strageties, schemes, wiles and tricks of our enemies, in Jesus name I call it forth as done…! God is greater in us than he that’s in the world. I humbly thank you for all you are doing. GOD rules…!

We stand together in agreement to pray for the righteousness of God to encourage faithfulness to prevail and join together in one accord to bring righteous Judges to serve in this nation. May the Lord prevail.

  5. Jerry E Sauls says:

For many years I have been praying for our Nation but I have never seen anything like that which is coming from the radical left. Prayer is the most powerful tool we have to counteract this kind of evil. God has not left us empty handed. The weapon of prayer reaches into all areas that we are unable to go ourselves coming against any and all weapons Satan brings against us.
    Thank you for your faithfulness.
